Privacy and General Data Protection Regulation Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a big deal for all businesses. For Trend Tracker it’s no different and in our Privacy and Cookies Policies, we’re pleased to provide you with detailed information on when and why we collect your data, how we use it, the very limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and most importantly, how we keep your data secure.
We take the privacy and data security very seriously, so whenever you provide us with data or your details (in some cases your personal details), you can ensure that in return for giving something priceless, we provide you with absolute trust in return.
When you or the company you work for provide us with data required to fulfil our services, you or the company you work for are the Data Controller and Trend Tracker is the Data Processor.
Our reputation as a company, and indeed my reputation as the Managing Director, is to ensure any hard-earned customer loyalty never comes into question as we will always keep your data and manage data provided in a private and secure manner.
GDPR in basic terms is about trust!
At Trend Tracker, we see regulation not as a challenge but as an opportunity. You need to know that you can trust us and if that is what you and our customers expect, that is what we must do, regulation or not!
We always want to over-deliver against our customer’s needs. GDPR in simple terms tells us that our customers need us to respect their trust and that is exactly what we will do. At Trend Tracker we embrace GDPR to show customers we are dedicated to honoring that trust.
We are responsible and compliant, with strong security measures and processes in place.
Third Parties
You can be assured that Trend Tracker will never share your information with any third party company. We fully understand that it’s our responsibility to keep your data private and secure.
If / when we have a business need to use a third party supplier, such as a survey software provider, we ensure that GDPR is satisfied. Put simply, if a supplier fails to reassure us about their GDPR policy, we’d seek a new supplier.
In addition, we would like to assure you that we have never sold or never will never sell, rent
or trade data with any other business.
The types of data we collect:
• Company information
When undertaking industry surveys, we request information from you. To reiterate, the data provided will never be disclosed to any third party and it will never be used on an individual basis. The data you provide is collated along with other respondent data in order for analysis.
• Website Cookies
Our website – www.trendtracker.co.uk uses cookies, which are small data files, on your computer, your handheld mobile device; this is standard practice for all websites.

You can be assured that you are the Data Controller, you have the right to access and amend any of the personal data that we hold on you by making a Subject Access Request.

Changes to this Privacy and General Data Protection Regulation Policy
As good practice dictates, Trend Tracker will review this Policy annually, or as and when it is deemed necessary to do so, in order to ensure that Trust is at the heart of what we do and that we continue to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation.
